The project was originally scheduled to be completed in 2021,but was finished and opened to the public in June of 2022. The
funds remaining at the end of 2021 were inadvertently left out of the reappropriations in budget amendment#1. This amendment
corrects that oversight.
Increase construction expenditures 148 5000000007650 83,534
Decrease ending fund balance 148 5990000000000 83,534
Department Code Rev Exp FB
NGA-11 Self-Insurance Tort and Worker's Compensation 503A 558,331 2,987,555 (2,429,224)
The City has had a couple of large settlements and an overall increase in worker's compensation claims. We are proposing an
amendment of just under$3 million to cover those costs. The funding source is the self-insurance fund's fund balance. This will put
the Tort Reserve under its target amount,so we will be working to restore its fund balance over the next couple of years. The
Worker's Comp subfund has sufficient fund balance to accommodate this amendment.
Increase Tort expenditures 503 5141030460 1,000,000
Decrease Tort ending fund balance 503 5980000141 1,000,000
Increase Workers'Comp expenditures 503 5100000270 1,987,555
Increase Claims Recovery-Non Gen Government 503 3694000400 558,331
Decrease Workers'Comp ending fund balance 503 5980000999 1,429,224
ATTACHMENT A
Tally 2022
