Imo
CHANGE ORDER#
EVERETT 0001
WASHINGTON
Project(Procurement)Number: Small Works Roster Project Title:
SWR IFQ 2022-046 CHAIN LINK FENCE INSTALLATION -VARIOUS CITY LOCATIONS
Description of Change: (Attach contractor's change proposal and cost schedule)(Attach Price or Cost Analysis)
1. LOCATION: Deadwater Slough
Change Order: Increasing the height of the fence and gates at Deadwater Slough from 4'to 6'and changing the
quantities in the scope of work. This was an unforeseen situation because the city has seen an increase in pedestrians
trespassing at this location since the bid award. The original height in the scope of work was intended to be a deterrent
to trespassing by pedestrians.Through collaboration with the supplier after the award, it has been determined that an
increase in fence height will provide more security to city infrastructure. The change in quantities is due to
miscalculation of fence line quantities In the scope of work. The overgrown brush at the location didn't allow the project
manager to accurately estimate the quantities until after the area was cleared for the fence installation in the original
scope of work. Correcting the quantity will better meet the overall objective of securing the city's infrastructure.
2.LOCATION:WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY
Change Order 1:Removal and replacement of fifteen(15)linear feet and two(2)fence posts to match the current
materials at the facility. The awarded fence was to extend from the area that was recently damaged when a vehicle
struck it at the facility after the contract award. The area must be repaired prior to extending the newly awarded fence.
Replacing this section of fence will provide a secure fence line and ensure the security perimeter of the facility remains
intact.
Change Order 2: Installing 4' man gate along the section of fencing listed in the original scope of work. The gate was
not included in the contracted scope of work because the wet conditions surrounding the installation location became
a factor in the accessibility of the fencing. After award, it was determined that city staff needed to be able to access the
gate from the secured and public sides of the fence.
The changes described above result in the following adjustment(s)in price and contract time (in calendar days).
Contrct Time&Completion Date Prior Completion
Total Project Price Prior to this Change $209,557.66 to Thias Change p 45 Date Prior
10/23/22
*Net(Increase)or(Decrease)Resulting from Net(Increase)or(Decrease)Resulting 1
this Change+ +$4,901.54 from this Change +
*Total Project Price Including this Change Contract Time&Completion Date Completion
$214,459.20 Including This Change 55 Date After
11/02/22
By signing below,City of Everett and the Contractor agree that the Contract work shall be changed to the extent described
in the above"Description of Change"and that the compensation shown above represents complete compensation for all
such changes, including all direct and indirect costs and impacts. The City of Everett and the Contractor further agree that
Contract time shall be adjusted to the extent shown above. This Change Order only changes the contract between City of
Everett and the Contractor to the extent explicitly provided in this Change Order.
CONTRACTOR CITY OF EVERETT
NPR Commercial Construction Inc.
