City Procurement Policy requires Council authorization of awards greater than <br />$250,000. <br />Project summary statement: <br />We currently use security services at both Libraries; for special City of Everett events, <br />such as Sorticulture, 4th of July and Salty Sea Days; and at the Transit Operations Center <br />and Everett Station. Anticipated additional use is to staff a walk-through metal detector <br />for City Council meetings and greater downtown corridor security. <br />The City has an Interlocal Agreement with the Washington State Department of <br />Enterprises that allows for purchases from its competitively awarded contracts in lieu of <br />soliciting bids on our own. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Award and authorize approximately $450,000 annually with Kaeka Group, Inc. Parker <br />Corporate Services, Inc. dba Pacific Security, and Phoenix Protective Corporation from <br />Washington State Department of Enterprises Contract #03818/COE #2019-102. <br />
