Retaining walls supporting more than 6 feet of backfill <br /> height measured to the bottom of the footing should include an additional seismic lateral earth <br /> pressure IBC 1807.2,2. Note that it appears that a 10-foot-tall retaining wall may not be <br /> necessary for the project.
