August 3, 2022 <br />1 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br />August 3, 2022, Council President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, and Council Members Rhyne, <br />Vogeli, Zarlingo, Tuohy, Fosse, Schwab, and President Stonecipher were present. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Tuohy acknowledged the original <br />inhabitants of this place, the sduhubš people, and their successors, the Tulalip <br />Tribes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the July 20, 2022, City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> <br />The minutes of the July 27, 2022, City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin thanked staff and neighborhood leaders for the National Night Out <br />event that occurred on August 2, 2022. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin invited Deputy Chief Irving from the Police Department to <br />introduce two new police officers. <br /> <br /> OATH – POLICE OFFICERS <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to <br />concur with the appointments of Vikas Nayyar and Alex Vanderwielen as new <br />Everett Police Officers. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was call with all Council members voting yes. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br />
