These biosolids have high lead levels, a pollutant that is <br /> regulated by State and Federal Biosolids Regulations, and must be properly disposed of. This project will <br /> run concurrently with the 2015 Biosolids Removal Project, expected to begin in May of 2016. <br /> Two bids were received at the bid opening on March 22, 2016. Karl Needham Enterprises Inc. was the <br /> lowest responsive bidder with a bid of$664,492.92 <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Award the 2016 Biosolids Disposal Project Contract to the lowest responsive bidder,Karl Needham <br /> Enterprises Inc.in the amount of$664,492.92 and authorize the Mayor to sign the Contract. <br />
