Imagine Children's Museum 11/17/2022

Memorandum of Understanding Between City of Everett (Everett Public Library) and Imagine Children's Museum Imagine Children's Museum will form a partnership with City of Everett (Everett Public Library)to implement in-person sessions of its Little Science Lab program. The program will take place at the Evergreen Branch, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett WA 98204. The program goals are to: 1) Engage preschool children in early math, literacy and science process skills 2) Encourage children's curiosity about the world around them 3) Engage caregivers and families in practicing early learning skills with their preschoolers Imagine agrees to the following: • Imagine will deliver weekly Little Science Lab (LSL) programming on Tuesdays from October 4, 2022 to December 20, 2022 (12 sessions). Each session will begin at 11:30 a.m. and run for 30 minutes. The program will resume in January 2023 for 24 additional weekly sessions—dates will be confirmed by November 30. • Imagine will provide all necessary materials for LSL lessons as well as a trained educator to deliver the lessons. • Imagine will share attendance and other participant metrics with the Library to aid in developing and growing the program audience. • Open and regular communication with Everett Public Library staff. Everett Public Library agrees to the following: • Imagine's educator will be allowed access to the activity room for setup at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of class. • If available, a Library staff member will assist in welcoming patrons to the program, distributing nametags and taking attendance. The staff member is invited to participate for the duration of the program if available, assisting in activity facilitation. • The Library will assist with distributing LSL communications to parents/caregivers, including at-home learning ideas and invitations to free Museum events. • When advertising LSL in print or online, refer to the program description below. o "Little Science Lab is here! This hands-on, interactive program for preschoolers and their caring adults encourages children's curiosity about the natural world and develops early science and math skills to get them ready for school. Educators from Imagine Children's Museum deliver Little Science Lab weekly at our library every [day] at [time]." • Communicate with Imagine in a timely manner when there are library closures and work with Imagine to adjust the program delivery schedule accordingly.
