Details for the construction should be <br /> included. The stair rise and run, and width, should be specified. A section showing the <br /> headroom clearances should be provided. Handrails should be provided. Show the required <br /> landing at the bottom of the stairs. See Section R311.7. <br /> 2. The anticipated location of the stairs will occur adjacent to an existing window. Safety glazing <br /> is required per Section R308.4.6 unless one of the exceptions is satisfied. Replacement <br /> windows should provide the required thermal rating per WSEC Table R402.1.1. <br /> 3. Guards may be required per Section R312.1. The height of the deck above grade should be <br /> specified. Include guard details as needed. Guards, their connections to the deck framing, and <br /> the supporting deck framing should be designed for a minimum 200 lb load per Table R301.5. <br /> 4. The roof details should comply with the ventilation requirements of Section R806. Include a <br /> calculation for the minimum required ventilation area in the drawings. The vents should be <br /> equally distributed between the roof eave and ridge. <br /> Structural <br /> 1. A general fastener schedule should be provided per Section R507 and Table R602.3(1). In <br /> addition, the make and model of proprietary hardware should be specified where used for <br /> connections. See Section R106.1.1. <br /> 2. The construction drawings should specify coating cuts, notches, and holes in preservative- <br /> treated wood with a treatment complying with AWPA M4. See Section R317.1.1. <br /> 3. The framing plans appear to be missing framing sizes, including but not limited to the deck and <br /> roof beams. Framing should comply with Section R507. <br /> 4. The roof sheathing should be specified. The sheathing for the overframing and the underside <br /> of the ceiling should be similarly specified. See Section R803. <br /> 5. The Foundation Plan on Sheet 4 specifies HF #2 with two alternative sizes. Neither size <br /> complies with the limiting span and spacing of Table R507.6. <br /> 6. The deck is required to be vertically and laterally connected to the main building per Section <br /> R507.9. See Sections <br /> R106.1.1 and R301.1. <br /> 8. A detail for the overframing should be included. All required fasteners should be specified.
