THE RTU UNITS ARE AVAILABLE TO RUN 247. OPERATION SHALL BE SCHEDULED USING AN ELECTRONIC <br />SCHEDULER. THIS SCHEDULER SHALL HAVE AN OVER RIDE FEATURE SUCH THAT THE FACILITY CAN BE USED <br />DURING OFF HOURS. THE RTU SHALL START AT LEAST ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SCHEDULED OCCUPANCY FOR <br />MORNING WARM UP SEQUENCE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS IS TO PURGE THE BUILDING AND TEMPER THE <br />OCCUPIED BUSINESS.ADDITIONALLY, A I FOR A PERIOD OF <br />LEAST Pr - <br />BUSINESS CONCLUSION OF THE <br />EACH RTU HAS OUTSIDE AIR AND RELIEF AIR PATHS THAT PROVIDE FOR VENTILATION. AS THE INDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE AND OUTDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE BOTH <br />RISE, THE CONTROLS WILL EXECUTE AN ALGORITHM USING A PID LOOP TO SET UNIT DISCHARGE AIR <br />TEMPERATURE. THE PREFERENCE IS FOR THE CALCULATED DISCHARGE AIR TEMPERATURE TO BE MAINTAINED <br />WITHOUT USING MECHANICAL COOLING, HOWEVER, IN THE COOLING SEASON THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN THE <br />OUTDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS, EITHER FULLY OR IN PART. IN THIS CONDITION, OUTSIDE <br />IS USED FOR VENTILATION ONLY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE TO MEET THE PUBLISHED VENTILATION RATE AND <br />MECHANICAL COOLING WILL BE USED TO SET THE DISCHARGE AIR TEMPERATURE. <br />DURING THE EXTREMES OF HEATING AND COOLING SEASON, THERE MAY BE INFREQUENT OCCURRENCE WHERE <br />THE iOTEMPERATURE THAN * O GREATERTHAN 88*F DURING TIMES WHEN THE BUILDING <br />IS NOT OCCUPIED. IN SUCH AN EVENT,THEHVAC SHALLD — INDOOR <br />AIR TEMPERATURE TO A MINIMUM OF 60*F OR COOLING TO BRING THE INDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE DOWN TO 85'F. <br />THE UNOCCUPIED DEAD BAND IS BETWEEN 60-F AND 85-F, AND WHEN THE INDOOR TEMPERATURES ARE IN THIS <br />RANGE, THE HVAC SYSTEM SHALL NOT RUN. THE WIDTH OF THE DEAD BAND SHALL ALWAYS REMAIN A MINIMUM OF 5®F AS REQUIRED <br />BY THE WSEC. <br />GREATEST.EXTERIOR ZONES HAVE THE ADVANTAGE OF FAN POWERED TERMINAL UNITS WITH AUXILIARY HEAT. THIS <br />PROVIDES AN ADDITIONAL HEATING MECHANISM TO THE AREAS WHERE HEAT LOSS IS EXPECTED TO BE THE <br />POWERED TERMINALO VENTILATION FUNCTION R THE SPACES THEY <br />THE CONTROLS SHALL POLE THE SENSORS IN THE SPACES TO DETERMINE THE SPACE CONDITIONS THAT EXIST. <br />THE DEFAULT OF THE SYSTEM SHALL BE HEATING.
