Starting July 1, 2022, <br />counties and cities with a 2024 deadline are eligible to receive the first half of their grant, with the second half coming the following <br />year. This grant supports the temporary addition of a full-time Planning & Community Engagement Coordinator through June 30, <br />2024. <br />The Everett Police Department has been awarded a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) grant to support the Derelict Vessel <br />Removal Program. The funds will allow the City to investigate and, in conjunction with DNR, use legal tools to reduce the illegal <br />disposal of boats from marinas within the City of Everett before they become a hazard to the environment and boat traffic. <br />Council approved acceptance of this grant at the September 14, 2022, Council meeting. <br />This Assistance to Firefighters grant was awarded to the Fire Department to purchase a new air compressor for filling breathing air <br />tanks.
