The match amount is <br />$1,280,000. Source of funds is Everett Transit (425). No budget amendment is required. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Everett Transit has made a significant investment in electric transit vehicles and charging <br />systems. With this grant opportunity, we will seek $5,120,000 in Bus and Bus Facilities state <br />funding to replace four diesel buses with four electric zero -emission buses and charging systems <br />bringing the total of electric vehicles to twenty-five (25). These are high profile projects and are <br />supported by Governor Inslee's Clean Energy legislation and Washington's Climate Act. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize city staff to apply for and the Mayor to approve and sign all documents relating to the <br />2023 — 2025 Bus and Bus Facilities state competition and all documents relating to acceptance of <br />the grant. <br />
