I <br /> City of Everett 00 11 13 - 1 <br /> Water Filter Plant Portal 4 Improvements WO#3755 <br /> SECTION 00 11 13 -ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Water Filter Plant Portal 4 Improvements Project <br /> will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 1st Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, <br /> Everett, Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. At the appointed time, <br /> all bids will be opened and read aloud publicly via webcast only. The link for the webcast is <br /> located at https//www.everettwa.gov/319/Procurement. The engineer's estimate for this Project is <br /> $3,963,000, not including sales tax. <br /> 1.1 The City of Everett owns a Wa <br /> ter Filter Plant located near Monroe, WA and is seeking a <br /> Contractor to construct improvements at the plant's Portal 4 structure. Proposed work <br /> includes, but is not limited to, installation of a new electrical cable delivering power to <br /> Portal 4 from the water filtration plant (WFP), improvements within the Portal 4 structure <br /> including replacement of electrical equipment, installation of new motorized actuators on <br /> three existing valves, HVAC, architectural, and building security improvements, <br /> upgrades to a level sensing device, and covering a section of exposed open channel <br /> with FRP panels. Exterior improvements include installation of isolation valves and valve <br /> vaults on three existing large diameter buried transmission lines and installation of a <br /> security fence around the structure. The Water Filter Plant is located at 6133 Lake <br /> Chaplain Road, Monroe, WA 98272. <br /> 1.2 Pre-bid meetings are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2022 and <br /> at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2022 on site at 6133 Lake Chaplain Road, <br /> Monroe, WA 98272. Attendance to one pre-bid meeting is mandatory. A Bid <br /> received from a Bidder who did not attend one pre-bid meeting and sign the sign- <br /> in sheet will be found not responsible and the bid will be rejected. Any questions <br /> and/or answers that may affect the bid will be included in an addendum to the bid <br /> documents and sent to all the plan holders. <br /> 1 Free-of-charge access to project bid documents(plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) <br /> is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and <br /> clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room <br /> provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order <br /> full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off <br /> tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification <br /> of future addenda and to place themselves on the"Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do <br /> not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the <br /> on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project.
