RANGE CLASS JOB <br /> NO. NO. TITLE <br /> 01-025 1410 Network Systems Analyst <br /> 01-552 0502 Circulation Assistant I/Shelvers <br /> 2023 Wage Rate <br /> Effective January 1,2023,all employees covered by the AFSCME bargaining contract will receive a cost <br /> of living adjustment of 7.5%. <br /> The resulting percentage increase shall be applied to the previous year's current base monthly wage in <br /> each classification. Calculations resulting in less than fifty cents to be rounded to the next lower dollar <br /> and any calculations resulting in fifty cents or more to be rounded to the next higher dollar. <br /> 2024 Wage Rate <br /> Effective January 1,2024,all base wages will receive a cost of living adjustment of 100%of the CPI-U <br /> for Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue for June to June,minimum of 3%and maximum of 5%This section will be <br /> reopened in the event the CPI-U for Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue for June to June is 7%or greater. <br /> The resulting percentage increase shall be applied to the previous year's current base monthly wage in <br /> each classification. Calculations resulting in less than fifty cents to be rounded to the next lower dollar <br /> and any calculations resulting in fifty cents or more to be rounded to the next higher dollar. <br /> The City agrees to undertake a comprehensive benchmark classification and compensation study for <br /> AFSCME positions in 2023.The City will provide the union a copy of the report upon completion. <br /> Section 2: <br /> All persons who are employed in the classifications set forth above shall be paid in accordance with the <br /> following: <br /> A. Computation. <br /> For the purposes of computing longevity,vacation,sick leave and retirement,the employee's adjusted <br /> employment date shall be used. Time consisting of two(2)consecutive weeks or more in any <br /> calendar year that is spent on leaves of absences without pay or separation due to a reduction in force <br /> (RIF)shall cause the employee's adjusted employment date to be adjusted accordingly. <br /> Any time an employee's hire date is adjusted,the city will notify the union and the employee. <br /> B. It is the intent of the parties that the definitions pertaining to employee movements in <br /> classifications as used in this section apply to compensation only and do not affect other <br /> provisions of this Agreement. Promotion shall be movement to a higher compensated <br /> classification;Lateral Transfer shall be movement within the same classification to another work <br /> assignment;Demotion shall be movement to a lower compensated classification. <br /> 13 <br />
