1. Introduction <br /> 1.1 Short Description <br /> The QRail PV mounting system is a strong, versatile system form ounting PV modules on low and steep-sloped roofs. The <br /> system consists of aluminum module support rails and includes all necessary components in order to attach the rails to each <br /> other, to attach the rails to the roof, and to attach the modules to the rails; it also includes other various accessories, such as <br /> module level power electronic (MLPE) attachments. The system allows modules to be mounted in portrait or landscape and <br /> can also be configured for Shared Rail design in either orientation. It accommodates most framed modules. Bonding is fully <br /> integrated into the QRail system. <br /> 1.2 About This Manual <br /> This manual describes the installation of the QRail mounting system and provides necessary information regarding <br /> components, system planning, and important safety warnings. Sections 1, 2, and 3 provide an overview as well as detailed <br /> information about the QRail system and components. Section 4 provides basic module layout and planning information. <br /> Sections 5 and 6 provide detailed system assembly and installation instructions. Section 7 provides maintenance <br /> requirements, and the last remaining section provides detailed information on UL 2703 evaluated and approved modules. <br /> It is important that you carefully read these Instructions as well as all applicable documents prior to carrying out <br /> any installation, maintenance, or disassembly work. These instructions provide you with the information required <br /> for the safe and complete installation, maintenance, and disassembly.
