I was able to locate a Geotech assessment done for a neighboring property
and received approval from the Planning Manager to waive your assessment. He advised that the 25'
buffer from the top of the slope must be kept. The area in red is the approximate buffer area that
encroaches onto the lot.
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information!
- Planner On -Duty
Danielle Marshall I Land Use Planning Division
Community, Planning & Economic Development
EVERETT 425.257.8810, option 3 13200 Cedar Street 2nd FI., Everett, WA 98201
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
From: Eli Warner <ewarner9@vahoo.com>
Sent: Wednesday, August 17, 2022 10:20 PM
To: Thad Newport <TNewport@everettwa.gov>; Tawnya Herman <THerman@everettwa.gov>; Katrina
Newport <KNewport@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Planning Email <Planning@everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: [EXTERNAL] Re: PW2208-006, 2602 81st PI SE, Everett
Thank you for the response. It was my understanding that if we do not drain towards the slope and we
put all runoff into the downspouts and out to the street we would not need a geotech assessment.
We do not want to pay an engineer to come and do an assessment and tell us something that is obvious
to them over the phone. They said the assessment would be starting at $5,000 and could be a lot more
and they wouldn't even be able to come here for another month. We are already way over budget
