I <br /> 1 enhances the value of steel or iron. Any process from the original reduction from ore to <br /> 2 the finished product constitutes a manufacturing process for iron. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Due to a nationwide waiver, BABA requirements do not apply to raw materials (iron ore <br /> 5 and alloys), scrap (recycled steel or iron), and pig iron ore processed, pelletized, and I <br /> 6 reduced iron ore. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 The following are considered to be steel manufacturing processes: <br /> 9 <br /> 10 1. Production of steel by any of the following processes: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 a. Open hearth furnace. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 b. Basic oxygen. <br /> 15 1 16 c. Electric furnace. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 d. Direct reduction. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 2. Rolling, heat treating, and any other similar processing. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 3. Fabrication of the products: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 a. Spinning wire into cable or strand. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 b. Corrugating and rolling into culverts. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 c. Shop fabrication. I <br /> 29 <br /> 30 A certification of materials origin will be required for any items comprised of, or containing, <br /> 31 steel or iron construction materials prior to such items being incorporated into the I <br /> 32 permanent work. The certification shall be on WSDOT Form 350-109EF provided by the <br /> 33 Engineer, or such other form the Contractor chooses, provided it contains the same <br /> 34 information as WSDOT Form 350-109EF. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Manufactured Products <br /> 37 Due to a nationwide waiver, BABA requirements do not apply to manufactured products. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Construction Material Requirements <br /> 40 A Contractor provided certification of materials origin will be required before each <br /> 41 progress estimate or payment. The Contractor will not receive payment until the <br /> 42 certification is received by the Engineer. The Contractor shall certify that all construction <br /> 43 materials installed during the current progress estimate period meets the Build America, <br /> 44 Buy America Act. The certification shall be on WSDOT Form 350-110EF provided by the I <br /> 45 Engineer, or such other form the Contractor chooses, provided it contains the same <br /> 46 information as WSDOT Form 350-110EF. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br /> I <br /> FLEMING BICYCLE CORRIDOR 22 Addendum 2 <br /> PW 3767 November 15,2022 <br />
