SECTION 7: RESPONS <br />7.1 Responsibilities of Subreci <br />This project itself is the sole responsibility of Su <br />to Subrecipient, or to any third party, other <br />Y <br />MLE undertakes no responsibilities <br />xpressly set out in this document. <br />Subrecipient shall be solely responsible for the design, development, implementation, <br />achievement of deliverables and reporting of the project, as those phases are applicable to this <br />project, and solely responsible for any claim or suit of any nature by any third party related in <br />any way to the project. <br />7.1.1 Project Timeline. The Subrecipient is responsible for maintaining the project timeline for all <br />dates and activities outlined as the Subrecipient's responsibility as <br />Subrecipient's FFA Grant Application (Attachment "A"). <br />The Subrecipient shall complete the approved project no later than September 30, 2023, as a <br />term of the acceptance of this grant award. The project timeline cannot be extended under the <br />scope of this agreement. <br />MLE staff shall <br />basis. The Subrecipient shall design a project that will have a reasonably <br />likelihood of positively impacting the reduction of boating accidents, boating injuries, and <br />boating fatalities. Such design shall include applicable items on the Checklist for Plans and <br />Specifications as provided in the Subrecipient's MLE Grant Application (Attachment "A"). <br />7.1.3 Purchase. The Subrecipient shall make no purchases in excess of $2,500.00 without prior <br />written authorization by MLE. All purchases must be in the furtherance of recreational boating <br />safety and must adhere to the guidelines set out in the in the Allowable Costs and <br />Expenditures for State Vessel Registration Fees and Federal Assistance Grants manual. <br />(Attachment "B"). <br />7.1.4 Periodic Inspections. Subrecipient hereby grants to the Recipient, or its authorized <br />representative, a right, equal in time to six years from the date of the last signature on this <br />document, to enter upon Subrecipient's property as deemed necessary by the Recipient for <br />inspection documents and any equipment. These periodic inspections are intended to ensure <br />continued compliant use of the awarded funds toward recreational boating safety enforcement <br />and education. materials, products, and workmanship to the original approved plans and <br />specifications. These inspections require a 30-day advance notification to the Subrecipient of <br />such inspection or access. <br />MLE <br />(FFA Grant Award) Page 4 of 35 <br />
