RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION for Expenditure of 2023 Human Needs Grant Funding <br />WHEREAS, the City allocates funding each year to be used for human needs programs; and, <br />WHEREAS, $453,200 is included in the 2023 budget for this purpose; and, <br />WHEREAS, an additional $100,000 has been allocated from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to <br />support the human needs priorities; and, <br />WHEREAS, for the 2023 budget, any remaining unused funding from 2022 Program Year awards will be <br />reallocated for contingency projects for emergency human needs uses; and, <br />WHEREAS, there exists in the community a call for funds to supplement human needs programs; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted priorities for Human Needs funding on September 28, 2022; and, <br />WHEREAS, on December 13, 2022, the Citizens Advisory Committee convened to consider and make <br />annual recommendations to the City Council for allocation of these funds and voted to recommend <br />funding as listed in Exhibit A to this Resolution; and, <br />WHEREAS, based on the action of the Citizens Advisory Committee at the December 13, 2022, meeting, <br />the following recommendations for the programs listed in Exhibit A are provided to the City Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL that the Mayor or designee is <br />authorized to execute a contract with each of the listed agencies for the programs and amount specified <br />in Exhibit A. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Everett City Council authorizes payment of invoices for expenses <br />incurred for the above purposes, not to exceed the individual amount for each agency, between January <br />1, 2023 and December 31, 2023. <br /> _______________________________ <br />Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br />Passed and approved this _______ day of __________, 2023. <br />___________________________________ <br />Council President <br />7861 <br />1st February
