January 18, 2023 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., January 18, 2023, <br />President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, Council Members Tuohy, Schwab, Fosse, <br />Zarlingo, Vogeli, Rhyne, and President Stonecipher were present. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Rhyne acknowledged the original inhabitants of <br />this place, the sduhubš people, and their successors, the Tulalip Tribes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the December 14, 2022, and January 11, 2023, City Council meeting were <br />approved as printed. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin announced the passing of Shayne Nagel, retired Executive Director from Arc of <br />Snohomish County. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin invited Police Chief Dan Templeman to introduce a new police officer. <br /> <br /> OATH – POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Zarlingo, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to concur with the <br />appointment of Charles Pallette as a new Everett Police Officer. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Deputy City Clerk administered the oath of office, and council members congratulated Police <br />Officer Pallette. <br /> <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin presented her selections for various boards and commissions. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
