Geotechnical Engineering Report lierracon <br /> Proposed VA Outpatient Clinic Everett, WA 98203 <br /> May 15, 2020 Terracon Project No. 81195126 GeoReport <br /> Item Description <br /> Site is developed with three existing structures (the main retail center, a <br /> produce market, and a coffee kiosk) and an asphalt-paved parking area. The <br /> Existing Market Plaza building structure is an approximately 22,000 square foot,single- <br /> Improvements story, slab-on-grade structure. An existing 24-inch diameter culvert containing <br /> Dogwood Elm creek passes beneath the existing building and parking lot <br /> areas at a depth of approximately 12 feet below ground surface. <br /> Current Ground <br /> Cover Asphalt paved parking lot <br /> The elevation of the project site ranges from approximately 308 feet in the <br /> Existing Topography southeast corner to 300 feet in the northwest corner, with a general gradient <br /> trending downward towards the northeast. <br /> Soils encountered in the April 2020 borings included fill deposits of up to 15 <br /> Subsurface Soils feet below ground surface. In general, glacially consolidated materials of the <br /> Whidbey Formation and Vashon Till were encountered at approximately 15 <br /> feet below ground surface. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> Our initial understanding of the project was provided in our proposal and was discussed during , <br /> project planning. Existing retail <br /> structure on the property will be demolished. <br /> The project includes utilizing the footprint of an existing building of <br /> approximately 22,000 square feet(SF). The existing, one-story building will <br /> be demolished. The new building will be constructed of steel framing with <br /> Proposed Structure corrugated metal siding for a 22,000 SF main level and a partial, 7,133 SF <br /> second-story over the southern portion of the building. A steel-framed <br /> entrance canopy will be constructed at the entrance to the building on the <br /> south side.
