CHANGE ORDER # Project (Procurement) Number: Small Works Roster Project Title: IFQ #2022-066 Madison Morgan – Park Trail Improvements Description of Change: BUILDING/LOCATION: Madison Morgan Park, 518 Madison Street, Everett, WA 98203 ATTACHMENTS INCLUDED: Drawing of fencing and trail route When the contract was awarded on September 19th, 2022, the house located at Madison Morgan Park was going to be vacant until a future use was determined. On October 22, 2022, the City of Everett Community Outreach and Enforcement Team (COET) originally intended office space was burned down. After the fire, this site was identified as a replacement office space for the COET team. Since the unforeseen building use changed, the scope of work has been adjusted to rearrange the fence line around the house to provide additional security. The original scoped fence is being adjusted and will result in a trail extension of approximately 120 feet. Adjustment of the fence line leaves a forty-foot unprotected gap. The solution is to provide 3- man rocks, which will offer the required security. The original scope included grading the path for ADA compliance. With the unforeseen new securi ty and use requirements, the existing path will be graded from the sidewalk toward the house. Additionally, it will be leveled off for a future rolling gate, which will be installed by City staff later.
