(MGI)is pleased to submit this report describing the results of our geotechnical engineering evaluation of the proposed extension of RailwayAvenue in Everett, Washington. g g P P g ' This report has been prepared for the exclusive use of the Interwest Construction Company, and their consultants, for specific application to this project, in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical engineering practice. 1.0 SITE AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project area passes through multiple parcels north and west of the end of Railway Avenue at Riverpoint in Everett, Washington, as shown on the enclosed Topographic and Location Map (Figure 1). The site stretches 1,000±linear feet north-south and is bounded on the west by the BNSF Railroad ROW (parcel 29052100201100), on the north and east by City of Everett (parcel 29052100200900), and on the south by Penske Truck Leasing Co. (parcel 00480100200800). The project site and surrounding parcels are located within an industrial area west of the Snohomish River and east of the Northern Pacific Railroad line. The area has historically been used as a log yard for the Kimberly-Clark Corporation,which closed its Everett operations in April of 2012 after selling much of the land in the early 2000's.The parcels have since been purchased for development by the companies listed above.
