ORDINANCE No. 3022 <br /> AN. O. DIN ACE fixing end determining the number of the <br /> various officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the <br /> city of Everett ; prescribin:_; the duties of such officers, <br /> assistants, deputies and employees; fixing, their salaries; <br /> repealing Ordinance No. 2993 of the City of Everett ; providing <br /> this Ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1945, and <br /> declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That beginning January 1, 1945, and on <br /> end after said date , the various officers, assistants, deputies <br /> and employees of the City of Everett , in addition to those pro- <br /> vided for in the Charter of the City of Everett, shell be as in <br />• this Ordinance provided. <br /> Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTEENT. <br /> Where shall be in the office of the City Attorney an <br /> Assistant City Attorney, a stenographer and a relief steno- <br /> grapher (part time ) . <br /> Said Assistant City rttorney end said stenographers <br /> shall perform such duties as the City 1ttorney may authorize <br /> and direct. <br /> Section 3 : CITY HALL DEPARTYEET. <br /> There shall oe in the City Hall Department one janitor <br /> and one assistant janitor. Said janitor and said assistant <br /> janitor shall perform the janitor work in connection with the <br /> City Hall. <br /> Section 4: LIBRARY DEPARTICENT. <br /> There shall be in the Library Department the follow- <br /> ing named officers , assistants and employees, to-wit: <br /> One Librarian; One Children' s (School)Librarian; One <br /> Cataloger and 1st Assistant Librarian; One Professional <br /> Assistant ; One Desk Clerk; One .gook Wagon Clerk; One Juvenile <br /> Clerk (part time ) ; and one or more pages, helpers and sub- <br /> stitutes, (part time ) . <br /> The Librarian shall be in general charge and shall <br /> have supervision of the Library Department. The other <br /> officers, assistants and employees shall perform such duties <br /> as pertain to te.e nature of their office and as authorized and <br /> directed by the Librarian . <br />
