• ! Y <br /> • <br /> J <br /> Section 6 : Said examining board shall examine all <br /> persons making application under this ordinance for a journeyman <br /> plumber's license. Such examination shall be held at such time <br /> and place as said board shall designate. Such examination shall <br /> be of such character, both practical and theoretical, as to <br /> thoroughly test the applicant' s ability and competency to perfo <br /> the business of a journeyman plumber as herein defined. Such <br /> exa_ inations shall be held from time to time , at such time and <br /> place , as said Board shall determine, but no applicant shall be <br /> compelled to wait more than Thirty (30 ) days following his <br /> application; PROVIDED that temporary working permit may be issued <br /> by the plumbing inspector until such time as the examining board <br /> meets and makes such examination. If after such examination the <br /> board determines that any applicant is qualified and competent <br /> to engage in the business of journeyman plumber the board shall <br /> issue to such person a certificate of competency. <br /> Section 7: All applicants for journeyman plumber's <br /> license shall have Three (3) years of experience as en apprentice, <br /> or must be a graduate of a mcogni zed trade school which gives at <br /> least a Two (2) years course. Application blanks for examination <br /> may be obtained from the Secretary of the examining board. <br /> Section 8: It shall be unlawful for an apprentice <br /> journeyman plumber to install plumbing and fittings under the <br /> supervision of a duly licensed journeyman plumber when such <br /> journeyman plumber is not physically present and taking an active <br /> part in the installation of such plumbing. <br /> Section 9: The fee for master plumber's license <br /> shall be Thirty-five Dollars ($35.00) per year for each establish- <br /> ment or place of business. 1 <br /> Section 10: The fee for a journeyman plumber's 1 <br /> license shall be Two Dollars ($2.00 ) per year. <br /> Section 11: All licenses issued hereunder shall ex- j <br /> pire't on the 31st day of December of each year. No license pro- <br /> vided for herein shall be issued except under the direction of th <br /> City Council of the City of Everett, and no journeyman plumber's <br /> license shall be issued unless the applicant for such license <br /> shall have a certificate of competency issued by said examining <br /> board. <br /> Section 12 : After a certificate of competency hes <br /> been issued to any person such person shall not be required to <br /> take an examination before the issuance of any subsequent <br /> license unless so ordered by said examining board. Any license <br /> issued hereunder may be revoked by the City Council of the City <br /> of Everett upon the recormendation of the examining board herein <br /> provided for after a hearing end said examining board determines <br /> that a licensee under the terms of this ordinance has vtiated <br /> the provisions of this ordinance or permitted the same to be <br /> violated, or violated any of the provisions of any of the <br /> ordinances of the City of Everett pertaining to the installation, <br />
