� •r� � <br /> . i I <br /> (a) In any one room, only one lamp shall be permitted for each tyro <br /> hundred (200) squarefeet of floor area or fraction thereof. <br /> (b) Lances shall be spaced not less than ten (ten) feet apart in each. <br /> direction. <br /> (c) In hallways and corridors only one row of lamps shall be _ermitted <br /> spaced not less than fifteen (15) feet apart, notwithstanding the <br /> rro-isions of subsection 2 (b) hereof. <br /> (d) Lames shall be placed at least three (3) feet from any window cr <br /> other exterior opening in the building which is not completely ob- <br /> scured, and lamps shall not be pointed toward any such window or other <br /> exterior opening. <br /> (e) All lames shall be located or shielded so that they are not•directly <br /> visible from out-of-doors when viewed frog^, a point above the level <br /> of the bottom of the lamp. <br /> 3. Exit Lights. Red exit ligrts shall be permitted within buildings which are <br /> open to the public, provided that all such lights are Imcated or shielded so that <br /> no direct rays from such lights are omitted out-of-doors and provided that such <br /> lights shall be restricted to not more than one lame_. of not more than fifteen <br /> (15) watts at each exit or at each turning point in the route to an exit. <br /> 4. Authorized 71n.ergeney Vehicles. Vehicles which are classified as authorized <br /> emergency vehicles, as defined in subsection 3 of Section whereof, when operated <br /> in strict dompliance with the provisions of said subsection 3 of Section-A- may <br /> operate during blackout eriods in areas of air raid alarm using a red spotlight, <br /> normal headlight illumination ( on low or depressed beam) and normal lights, stop <br /> lights and liscense plate lights as specified by Chapter 189, Laws of 1937, for <br /> use when no blackout is in force. <br /> 5. Auxiliary Thnersency Vehicles. Vehicles which are classified and identified <br /> as auxiliary emergency vehicles, as defined in subsection 5 of Section V-herof <br /> when operated in strict canrliance with the provision of subsection 6 of Section I <br /> hereof, may operate during blackout periods in areas of air raid alarm using normal <br /> headlamps (on low or depressed beam) with one head lame, shielded or masked as s:ec- <br /> ified. in subsection 5 (b) of Section thereof, and normal rear lights, stop lights <br /> and liscense plate lights as specified by Chanter 189, Lairs of 1937, for use when <br /> no blackout is in force. <br /> 6. Flashlights. Flashli hts may be used during periods of blac'c:out in areas of <br /> air raid alarm. provides that such flashlight _shall not be pointed above the <br />
