.. 1 <br /> ORDINANCE No. <br /> 29 98. <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 19 of Ordinance No. 2993 <br /> of the City of Everett , entitled as follows: <br /> " 17 ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number <br /> of the various officers, assistants, deputies and em- <br /> ployees of the City of Everett; prescribing the duties <br /> of such officers, assistants, deputies and employees ; <br /> fixing: their salaries and providing for bonus salaries <br /> for such officers , assistants, deputies and employees <br /> during the existing war emergency; repealing Ordinance <br /> No. 2962 of the City of Everett ; providing this <br /> Ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1944, and <br /> declaring an emergency, " <br /> and declaring en emergency. <br /> Tf?ti CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 19 of Ordinance No. 2993, <br /> entitled as above set forth, be, and the same is hereby amended <br /> to read es follows: <br /> Section 19 : That the Street Painting Department <br /> be, and the sere is hereby transferred to the Department of <br /> Safety. <br /> There shell be the following named employee in the <br /> Street Painting Department : <br /> One Street Painter. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employee to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of his employment and such other <br /> duties as the Chief of Police or Corrissioner of Safety shall, <br /> from time to time, authorize and direct. <br /> Section 2: Sal emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> (11,h <br /> Ci Clerk <br /> Passed: Feb . 1, 1944. <br /> Published :Feb. 2, 1944. <br />
