ar ORDINANCE No. 299 / AIT ORDIMNCE levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for th , fiscal year commencing January 1, 1944, on all taxable property, both real and personal, in said city subject to taxation thereon , for the purpose of raising sufficient reven e to carry on the different departments of said city for the ensuin:. year as required by the Charter of said City and the laws of the State of Washington; prescribing; and apportioning the same into different funds of said city for said fiscal year, and providing for the collection thereof. IIHEREAS, on the 14th day of September, 1943, the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regularly adopted the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expense of said city for the ensuing year, and the amounts to be raised by taxation in said city for said ensuing year from sources other then direct taxation; End j;=AS, notice tilt said City Council tentatively completed the budget for the L'ity of Everett for the year 1944, and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any taxpayer of the City of Everett on application therefor , and that the City Council of said "ity would meet in the Council Chamber of the City Wall at 10:00 o'clock A.
