1 <br /> • <br /> ORDINJ:NCE No. <br /> 2982. <br /> hP ORDIIL TCE providing for lour (4) additional Third <br /> Class Patrolmen in the Police Department of the City of Everett, <br /> in addition to those provided for in Ordinance No. 2962 of the <br /> City of Everett , or any amendments thereto; fixing their salaries; <br /> prescribing their duties; providing that the salaries of said. <br /> officers shall be pa id from the _-Everett "State 1,id Fund, " and <br /> declaring En emergency. <br /> iN 'EhS, by reason of the Yar - lergency it is necessary <br /> to employ additional patrolmen in the Police Department of the <br /> City of Everett during such emergency. <br /> YOB', `T I M:FORE, THE CITY OF EMPETT DOES ORDh.IN: <br /> Section 1: That there shall be in the Police Depart- <br /> ment of the City of Everett Four (4) Third ClEss Patrolmen , in <br /> addition to the number of Third Class Patrolmen provided for in <br /> Ordinance No. 2962 of the City of Everett , or any amendments <br /> thereto. <br /> Section 2: Two of said patrolmen shell be attached <br /> to the Juvenile Department of the City of Everett. <br /> It shall be the duty of said officers to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of their employment and such dutie- <br /> as the Commissioner of Safety, Chief of Police or other heads of <br /> the department to which they are assigned shall authorize and <br /> direct . <br /> Section 3: The salaries of said officers shall be <br /> One Hundred Seventy Dollars (5r170.00) per month each, payable <br /> semi-monthly. Said salaries shall be paid by warrants drawn on <br /> the Everett "State hid Fund." <br /> Section 4: Said employees shall be appointed by the <br /> Commissioner of Safety of the City of Everett , subject to Civil <br /> Service Rules and Regulations. <br /> Section 5: inn emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication <br /> Mayor <br /> tte st: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: July 6th, 1943 <br /> Published: July 7th, 1943 . <br />
