ORDINANCE No. l 7 8 <br /> ..i'T ORDINANCE amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2928 <br /> of the City of Everett, entitled es follows: <br /> "An Ordinance creating a Municipal Defense <br /> Commission, prescribing its duties end declaring an <br /> emergency," <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVEr.ETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance ro. 2928, <br /> entitled as above set forth, be , and the same is hereby amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> Section 1: That the name of "Municipal Defense <br /> Commission" as created by Ordinance No. 2928 be, end the same is <br /> hereby changed to "Everett Civilian Defense Council," which shall <br /> be composed of the Mayor as Chairman end such other persons as <br /> the Mayor nay appoint from time to time. The Mayor shall <br /> designate one of the members so appointed Es Vice Chairman who <br /> shall be the Coordinator for the City of Everett. Each member <br /> of the Everett Civilian Defense Council sha:_1 serve at the <br /> pleasure of the Mayor or until the repeal of this Ordinance . <br /> All appointments of said Municipal Defense Commission heretofore <br /> made be , and the same are hereby ratified and confirmed. <br /> Section 2 : An emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage end publication, <br /> s ; <br /> AVil l <br /> ayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: 7 - ! 9 43' <br /> Published: 40�' / 9�`3 <br />
