February 15, 2023 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., February 15, <br />2023, President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Tuohy, Schwab, Fosse, Zarlingo, Vogeli, Rhyne, <br />and President Stonecipher were present. Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Vogeli acknowledged the original inhabitants of <br />this place, the sduhubš people, and their successors, the Tulalip Tribes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the February 8, 2023, City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council Executive Angela Ely stated Council received (2) two written comments, and there was <br />(1) one member of the public who wished to speak: <br /> <br />• Jay Lindberg – War in Ukraine <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> <br />Executive Director Lori Cummings had no updates. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall requested a 30-minute executive session to discuss a litigation matter, <br />pursuant to RCW 42.30.110.1(i)(iii), with potential council announcement to follow.
