EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br /> <br />Page 12 <br />(Form Approved by City Attorney’s Office January 7, 2010, updated July 28, 2022) <br /> <br />The Service Provider will perform a variety of nonmotorized transportation engineering and planning services on an <br />on-call and as-needed basis under this Agreement. Work may include but is not limited to the following services. <br /> <br />Engineering Services: At the request of the City, provide engineering design support services in the following areas: <br />1. Bike facility design. <br />2. Pedestrian facilities design. <br />3. Pedestrian accessibility design, including curb ramps, signalized intersections and other pedestrian facilities <br />governed by the Americans with Disabilities Act. <br />4. On-street parking design (within the right of way). <br /> <br />Planning Services: At the request of the City, provide planning support services in the following areas: <br />1. Pedestrian facilities planning. <br />2. Bike facilities planning. <br />3. Parking analysis (within the right of way). <br />4. City streets nonmotorized design and construction specifications and standards review and updates. <br />5. Bicycle Master Plan implementation support. <br />6. Feasibility studies for nonmotorized transportation mode facilities. <br /> <br />The scope and fee for projects under this agreement shall be established separately for each individual project using <br />a Task Authorization form, provided as Exhibit A1. The Service Provider may use its own Task Authorization Form <br />as long as it includes the same necessary information (scope, fee, signatures, dates, project name, etc.). The Task <br />Authorization Form shall include a detailed scope of work and fee for each project and shall be signed by both <br />parties prior to the Service Provider performing any work under this Agreement. The City does not guarantee that <br />any work will be assigned to the Service Provider under this Agreement, except that which is authorized using the <br />Task Authorization Form. <br /> <br />The scope of services may include a combination of the following tasks. <br />1. Review of available drawings, studies, maps, photographs, and other available documentation pertinent to the <br />project. <br />2. Site visits to the project area, including measurements of existing bike, pedestrian and on-street parking facilities, <br />and counts of vehicles parked on-street. <br />3. Meeting with City staff to discuss findings and develop plans for further action, as appropriate for the project. <br />4. Prepare preliminary engineering design. <br />5. Prepare summary reports appropriate for the project. The level of detail for reports may vary, ranging from <br />technical memos and field reports to detailed design with drawings. <br />6. Review of existing City nonmotorized design and construction specifications and standards. <br />7. Preparation of new nonmotorized design and construction specifications and standards with detailed design <br />drawings. <br />8. Other nonmotorized transportation engineering and planning tasks requested by the City. <br /> <br />After both parties sign a Task Authorization Form for a project, it becomes part of this Agreement and is subject to <br />the terms and conditions of this Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
