The project was completed at a total cost of <br />Public hearing $326,650.04. Parks Special Project Fund 101 Program 52 is being used for the additional expenses <br />Yes X No totaling $26,650.04 which included added scope for the project. <br />Budget amendment: <br />Yes X No <br />PowerPoint presentation: <br />Yes X No <br />All expenses for the project have been paid and revenues collected. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Scheduled replacements to Parks playgrounds are necessary to keep them functional, enjoyable <br />for customers, compliant with new standards, and to minimize maintenance costs. Playgrounds <br />are typically replaced about every 15 years. The Doyle Park playground was built in 1987. <br />Attachments: The playground was designed for two age groups: 2 to 5 and 5 to 12-year-old. It was also <br />Closing Ordinance designed with inclusive elements so people of all ages and abilities can access the play areas, <br />participate and be challenged. <br />Playground replacement work included demolition of the existing playground. The new <br />playground was relocated to the south of where the previous playground was located and <br />includes new rubber tile surfacing system, installation of the new playground equipment and <br />certification of the design and installation.
