The project was completed at a total cost of Public hearing $326,650.04. Parks Special Project Fund 101 Program 52 is being used for the additional expenses Yes X No totaling $26,650.04 which included added scope for the project. Project summary statement: Scheduled replacements to Parks playgrounds are necessary to keep them functional, enjoyable for customers, compliant with new standards, and to minimize maintenance costs. Playgrounds are typically replaced about every 15 years. The Doyle Park playground was built in 1987. Attachments: The playground was designed for two age groups: 2 to 5 and 5 to 12-year-old. It was also Closing Ordinance designed with inclusive elements so people of all ages and abilities can access the play areas, participate and be challenged. Playground replacement work included demolition of the existing playground. The new playground was relocated to the south of where the previous playground was located and includes new rubber tile surfacing system, installation of the new playground equipment and certification of the design and installation. The playground was completed January 26, 2022.
