Follow your employer's decontamination procedures in the <br />HASP, which should include a way to wash before eating, drinking, using <br />toilet (NOTE: This can be difficult in very remote location). <br />• Oil can rub off dirty hands and contaminate food, drinks or tobacco <br />products. <br />• Chemicals in the air can settle on food or drink and be swallowed. <br />• Swallowed chemicals are absorbed in the digestive tract. <br />• Chemicals can be caught in mucus and swallowed. <br />76 WORKER EDUCATION & TRAINING PROGRAM <br />
