AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR SOCIAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF EVERETT AND EVERETT LAW ASSOCIATION This Amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Social Services (this "Amendment") is dated for as of the date of last signature below. It is by and between the City of Everett, a municipal corporation under the laws of the State of Washington ("City") and Everett Law Association ("Public Defender"). RECITALS A. The City and Public Defender are parties to the Agreement for Social Services dated November 29, 2021 (the "Social Services Agreement"). All capitalized terms in this Amendment are as defined in the Social Services Agreement. Under the Social Services Agreement, the City provides funds for Social Services to the Public Defender from the Grant Agreement. The Grant Agreement is between the City and the Washington State Office of Public Defense ("OPD"). B. The City and OPD are entering into an amendment to the Grant Agreement, which is attached hereto (the "Grant Amendment"), which will add $10,888.98 to the Grant Agreement for additional training funds. The purpose of this Amendment is to update the Social Services Agreement for the Grant Amendment. AGREEMENT The City and Public Defender agree as follows: 1. As part of the Social Services, Public Defender will use the funds from the Grant Amendment for training as required by the Grant Agreement. Public Defender will submit invoice(s) for Grant Amendment funds at time(s) mutually agreed by Public Defender and the City. 2. All provisions in the Social Services Agreement shall remain in effect except as expressly modified by this Amendment. This Amendment may be signed in ink or electronically, and any faxed, scanned, photocopied, or similarly reproduced signature on this Amendment will be deemed an original signature and will be fully enforceable as if an original signature.
