Products are purchased on an as -needed basis. The anticipated <br />cost is based on past usage. Actual future usage is unknown since the award will be based on <br />future project needs. However, the anticipated contract value is $764,956.48 annually, which <br />includes Washington state sales tax. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Public Work Streets division requires gravel products to complete projects throughout the <br />city. Other city divisions will also utilize this contract for gravel products to support their projects. <br />Gravel products will be primarily delivered to the Everett Storage Yard and Water Pollution <br />Control Facility. As needed, deliveries will occur at project sites within city limits. <br />Invitations for Bid were sent to five (4) suppliers, posted to the City website, and advertised in <br />the Everett Herald. Staff received a total of four (4) responses. Bids are as shown on the attached <br />bid tabulation sheet. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the award of Invitation for Bid 2023-017 Annual Gravel Supply to Iron Mountain <br />Quarry., for one (1) year with four (4) additional one-year extension options for approximately <br />$764,956.48 annually, which includes Washington state sales tax. <br />
