No organic material furnishing feed for flies shall • <br /> allowed to accumulate on the premises. All garbage shall be <br /> handled and fed upon platforms of concrete or other impervious <br /> material. Unsiacked lime, hypochlorite of lime, borax or mineral <br /> oil shall be used daily in sufficient quantities to prevent <br /> offensive odors and the breeding of flies. All garbage, offal and <br /> flesh fed to swine must be sterilized by cooking before feeding. <br /> Section 9: All premises where any of the animals or <br /> fowls mentioned in this ordinance are kept shall be kept free fr. <br /> rats and rat harborages. <br /> Section 10 : The keeping of any animals or fowls in <br /> violation of this ordinance is hereby declared to be a nuisance <br /> and may be abated in the manner provided by the City Ordinances. <br /> Section 11: Any person now keeping any animals or <br /> fowls within the City of Everett covered by this ordinance shall <br /> have Thirty (30 ) days from and after the taking effect of this <br /> ordinance to comply with the terms and conditions of this <br /> ordinance. <br /> Section 12 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances <br /> in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 13 : Any person convicted of the violation of <br /> this ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding Three <br /> Hundred Dollars ($300 .00 ) or by imprisonment in the City Jail <br /> for not longer than Ninety ( 90 ) days or shall be punished by both <br /> such fine end imprisonment. <br /> Section 14: This ordinance is necessary-- for the <br /> preservation of the health of the citizens and inhabitants of <br /> the City of Lverett and an emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: April i3, 1943. <br /> Published: April 15 , 1943 . <br />
