' -. 1.` J ♦y, Section 8: '.Then garbage is fed to pigs all unconsume• garbage shall be removed daily and disposed of by burial or in- cineration. No organic material furnishing feed for flies shall • allowed to accumulate on the premises. All garbage shall be handled and fed upon platforms of concrete or other impervious material. Unsiacked lime, hypochlorite of lime, borax or mineral oil shall be used daily in sufficient quantities to prevent offensive odors and the breeding of flies. All garbage, offal and flesh fed to swine must be sterilized by cooking before feeding. Section 9: All premises where any of the animals or fowls mentioned in this ordinance are kept shall be kept free fr. rats and rat harborages. Section 10 : The keeping of any animals or fowls in violation of this ordinance is hereby declared to be a nuisance and may be abated in the manner provided by the City Ordinances. Section 11: Any person now keeping any animals or fowls within the City of Everett covered by this ordinance shall have Thirty (30 ) days from and after the taking effect of this ordinance to comply with the terms and conditions of this ordinance. Section 12 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 13 : Any person convicted of the violation of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ($300 .00 ) or by imprisonment in the City Jail for not longer than Ninety ( 90 ) days or shall be punished by both such fine end imprisonment. Section 14: This ordinance is necessary-- for the preservation of the health of the citizens and inhabitants of the City of Lverett and an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication.
