f / (e) Nothing in the foregoing provisions shall be construed es prohibiting smoking in or on any of the above mentioned buildings or structures, in offices, waiting rooms or smoking rooms, which have been approved by the Chief of Fire Department for such purpose and which are separated from the remainder of the building or structure by tight fitting partitions. (f) No person shall throw away any lighted match, cigar, cigarette or pipe tobacco within any building or structure or within any street car or other vehicle for the common carriage of passengers, unless it be to deposit the sane in a suitable container of metal or other non-combustible material provided for the reception thereof. (g) No person shall throw away any lighted match, cigar, cigarette or pipe tobacco out of any window or in or on any dry grass, brush, rubbish or other flammable or combustible material, either inside or outside a building. (h) No person shall strike a match or smoke within fifteen (15) feet of any pump for the withdrawal of gasoline , either inside or outside a building, or strike a retch or smoke within fifteen (15) feet of any motor vehicle while the gasoline tank of the same is being replenished with gasoline. A sign prohibiting smoking es hereinafter provided, shall be conspicuously and permanently attached to each pump for the withdrawal of gasoline et gasoline service stations. (i) Where signs prohibiting smoking are required in the foregoing provisions, the same shall bear the words, NO SMOKING -- CITY OFDINITCE, in red letters on a white back- ground. The first two words of such signs shall be formed by letters not less than four (4) inches in height and of pro- portionate width for gasoline service stations and for rooms not exceeding two thousand (2 ,000) square feet in area End not less than six (6) inches in height and of proportionate width for piers, wharves and rooms exceeding two thousand (2,000) square feet in area . Signs as above provided, shall be per- manently and conspicuously posted. Section 2: It shall be unlawful to smoke any pi cigar, or cigarette, or have or use any lighted match or port- able open light or flame in or upon any wharf, shed, pier or warehouse wherein or whereon there is any cotton, rags or hay, in bales or in bulk, or any spirits, turpentine , petroleum, tar, pitch, rosin, gunpowder, gasoline or illumina- tion oils, or in or upon any wharf or pier at which any vessel is lying, or on the deck of any such vessel.
