� g \5• ORDIN14TCE No . a AN ORDINANCE providin-; for the improvement of the alley East of Walnut Street from 17th Street to South line of River- dale Addition to the City of Sverett , by construction of sewer and its necessary appurtenances, and doing all work necessary to make a complete improvement in accordance with a majority petition therefor; creating an assessment district ; creating a local improvement district fund therefor ; providing for the payment of said improvement by special assessment on the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds, and repeal- ing Ordinance 2�,{o. 2892 of the City of Everett. WHEREAS, there has been heretofore filed with the City Council of the City of hverett a majority petition of the property owners petitioning for said improvement , and upon examination thereof the said City Council has found the things set forth therein to be true; End j;;rHEREAS, the said petition has been referred to the Commissioner of Public 'Arks to be examined by the said Cor missioner and the City .Sngineer, and the Commissioner of Public Works has filed with the City Council all data and information required by law; and WID EAS, said Commissioner of Public ':'forks has recommended to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be node , and it appearing to the City Council that the public health, convenience and necessity require that such impr ovement be made . NOW, TYEREFORE, T --I' CITY OF E7EREmT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: -chat the alley East of Walnut Street from 17th Street to South line of Riverdale Addition to Everett be improved by construction of a sewer and its necessary appurtenances, and doing Ell work necessary to make a complete improvement , all according to theplans and specifications prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2 : That the cost and expense of such improvement , including all necessary incidental expense, shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment district herein created in accordance with law. The City of Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion_ of the costs and expenses of such improvement , except as provided by Chapter 141 Session Laws of 1923, or acts amendatory thereto , and the ordinances of the City of Everett. Section 3 : That there is hereby established a loca= improvement district to be known es "Local Improvement District No . 552 ," which district shall include the following described property: Lots 1 to 32 inclusive , Block 396, Riverdale Addition to Everett ; Lots 1 to 8 inclusive , and _..ots 24 to 32 inclusive, Block 405, Riverdale Addition to Everett.
