To: BRUCEEWINGINC@MSN.COM
Subject: D2111-001 11201 3RD AVE SE
Hello Bruce,
The above permit has been denied. The wrong permit type was chosen. Demolition permits are for whole
structures. See below tools to guide you for submittal.
Submittal would need to be dropped off at 3200 Cedar St, 2nd floor or mailed in. Building hours are 7:30am —
4pm. There is a submittal bin at top of stairs.
The permit application packet needs to be complete as outlined in the Commercial Checklist. Your submittal would
include a completed and signed permit application, 2 sets of each: construction drawings, engineering calculations that
may be required and 2 site plans.
You may find our most up to date applications and checklists online:
https://everettwa.gov/permits
We strongly suggest securing the services of a design professional licensed by the State of Washington (architect,
engineer) to develop plans and details that show the project will meet code.
The plans need to clearly depict the extent of the work proposed (or completed without permits) as well as address the
code deficiencies found within the structure. Regardless of whether the decision is to remove or keep the un-permitted
work, the construction plans need to show (at a minimum):
1. What the existing structure looked like prior to the alterations completed without permits.
2. What the structure's current condition looks like.
3. What has been altered and how it meets current code requirements. Include all un-permitted alterations to the
property/structure and/or any proposed construction necessary to bring the property/structure into code
compliance.
Plans also need to reflect compliance with the Land Use and Zoning requirements in the Everett Municipal Code. The
plans will be reviewed for compliance with the City's adopted codes in place at the time of permit submittal, not the
codes in place when the work occurred.
All unapproved work (including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and framing systems etc.) installed/altered without
permits and inspection approval will need to be exposed.
Thank you,
— Cindy Bergsma
Permit Technician I Permit Services
425.257.8810 1 3200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: Monday - Friday : 8 a.m. — 12 p.m & 1 p.m. — 3 p.m.
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
