The underground drain line systems should be
maintained periodically to prevent clogging.
ONSITE STORMWATER DISPOSAL
General
All three test borings encountered clean sandy soil of Esperance sand deposits at depths
of about 3.5 to 8.0 feet below existing ground surface. Soil samples taken from the
targeted Esperance sand deposits were obtained for soil particle distribution test in the
laboratory to determine their infiltration rates. Feasibility of onsite stormwater disposal
was evaluated based on the test results. The analysis of test results presented below
indicates the Esperance sand deposits underlying the project site will be able to support
onsite stormwater disposal by infiltration.
Particle Size Distribution Tests and Estimated Infiltration Rates
Three soil samples, one from each of the three test pits, were obtained from the Esperance
sand deposits and taken to HWA laboratory for Soil Particle Size Distribution test. These
soil samples are listed in the table below and their test reports are presented on Plates A-1
and A-2 in the attached appendix.
LIU & ASSOCIATES, INC.
