Refunding Bonds. The Improvement Bonds and the Refunding Bonds may, at the option of the Designated Representative, be combined and sold as a single series. Whenever the term "Bonds" is used in this ordinance, the term shall include both the Improvement Bonds and the Refunding Bonds. (c) Bond Details. The Bonds shall be issued as a single series to be designated as the City of Everett, Washington, Water and Sewer Revenue and Refunding Bonds, 2023, shall be dated as of their date of delivery; shall be fully registered as to both principal and interest; shall be in the denomination of $5,000 each, or any integral multiple thereof, provided that no Bond shall represent more than one series and maturity; shall be numbered separately in such manner and with any additional designation as the Registrar deems necessary for purposes of identification; and shall bear interest from their date payable on the first days of each June and December, commencing on December 1, 2023, at rates set forth in the Approved Bid; and shall mature on the dates and in the principal amounts set forth in the Approved Bid and as approved by the Finance Director -Treasurer pursuant to Section 15. The Bonds of any of the maturities within a series may be combined and issued as term bonds, subject to mandatory redemption as provided in the Notice of Sale for the Bonds and the Approved Bid. The Bonds shall be obligations only of the Revenue Bond Fund and shall be payable and secured as provided herein. The Bonds shall not be general obligations of the City. Section 4. Registration, Exchange and Payments. (a) Registrar/Bond Register. The City hereby specifies and adopts the system of registration approved by the Washington State Finance Committee from time to time through the appointment of state fiscal agents.
