Revised plans and additional fees may also be required as the International Residential Codes has <br /> been updated and may affect your current plans for the addition. <br /> Sections 105.5 of the International Building Code and R105.5 of the International Residential Code state that <br /> permits become invalid if the work is not commenced or is suspended or abandoned for more than 180 days. <br /> 1. If work is complete, request a final inspection to close out the permit. <br /> 2. If work is continuing, request the appropriate inspection that fits the current construction needs. <br /> 3. If work is currently on hold but work will resume within the next 6 months, request a permit extension to keep <br /> the permit active.The reason for the extension is required to be provided in the notes field of the permit <br /> extension request. <br /> Please request the above inspections and/or permit extension through the Online Permitting Portal at <br /> pw.everettwa.gov. Log in to your account, then find the specific permit number in your dashboard under either <br /> "My Active Permits" at the top or"My Expired Permits" at the bottom. Click the inspection request link on the <br /> selected permit,then request your inspection by selecting an available date, choosing the appropriate <br /> inspection type (permit extension is one of the inspection types), and following the inspection scheduling <br /> instructions. <br /> If no action is taken within 14 days of the date of this letter, the permit record(s)will be closed without <br /> approved final inspection and any work performed will be considered unpermitted work. After the permit has <br /> expired, work under the permit(s)will no longer be authorized unless extension is granted via inspection or <br /> permit extension request.
