The intent is to place the racks on a
new 6"concrete slab.
There are three different racks—Type'`P' is 4'-0"x 5'-0"x 16'-0"tall,Type `T' is 3'-5"x 6'-0"x 8'-0"
tall, and Type `U' is 6'-0"x 15'-0"x 12'-0"tall. Each rack support arm has three levels with a maximum
of 2,000 lbs per level, for 6,000 lbs per rack support.
The soil bearing at this location is assumed to be a minimum of 1500 psf,the concrete will be 4000 psi,
reinforced with 6x6-W1.4/W 1.4 WWF,and the slab will extend a minimum of 2'-0"beyond the edges of
the rack supports, except at the front where it will extend 6"to allow more room for the forklifts. The
Type`P' will have a 7'-6"x 8'-0"x 0'-6"slab,the Type `T' will have a 5'-11"x 10'-0"x 0'-6" slab, and
the Type`U' will have a 8'-6"x 19'-0"x 0'-6"slab.
Based on the information provided, the concrete slab is adequate to support the loads. If you have any
questions or need additional information, please give me a call.
Sincerely, .'; „
} pp r, ,.,
4.. .
