Stormwater Management Facility <br /> Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual <br /> Compliance with Stormwater Facility Maintenance Requirements <br /> Property owners are required to operate and maintain storm water facilities in <br /> accordance with this O&M plan. This requirement is binding on all current and future <br /> owners of the property. Failure to comply with the O&M plan can trigger an <br /> enforcement action, including penalties and the City may perform the work and <br /> charge the owner for time and expenses. <br /> The O&M plan may be modified by written consent of current owners and written <br /> approval of the City of Everett. <br /> II. Inspection & Maintenance— Reporting <br /> Requirements for the inspection and maintenance of stormwater facilities, as well as <br /> reporting requirements are included in this Stormwater Management Facility <br /> Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual. <br /> Copies of the Inspection and Maintenance reports along with this O&M Manual shall <br /> be retained on or within reasonable access to the site at all times unless special <br /> arrangement is made and approved by the City of Everett. <br /> Submit an annual report documenting inspection and maintenance to the City's <br /> Surface Water Inspector. <br /> Ill. Preventative Measures to Reduce Maintenance Costs <br /> The most effective way to maintain your water quality facility is to prevent the <br /> pollutants from entering the facility in the first place. Common pollutants include <br /> sediment, trash &debris, chemicals, dog wastes, runoff from stored materials, illicit <br /> discharges into the storm drainage system and many others. A thoughtful <br /> maintenance program will include measures to address these potential <br /> contaminants, and will save money and time in the long run.
