FIREPLACE ADDENDUM <br />This addendum is to clarify the permitted and prohibited use of the fireplace In your home. Although we encourage <br />you to use your fireplace for your enjoyment, the following restrictions apply <br />Fireplace Guidelines: <br />• Only wood burning is allowed <br />Make sure the damper is open before starting a fire. Close the damper only when ashes are cool. a minimum <br />of 24 hours after last fire, when fire is completely out. <br />Due to excess heat and fumes - Duraflame logs. and the like are PROHIBITED. <br />Fire screens must be in place at all times when fireplace is in use. <br />Do not leave any fire burning unattended. <br />Dispose of old ash from your fireplace prior to each use. <br />Residents are responsible to notify management of any fireplace maintenance or safety concerns immediately, <br />In accordance to your rental agreement, residents are held liable to pay for any cleaning and/or damages <br />upon move -out, such as but not limited to burn marks on carpet. smoke damage. and damage to the fireplace <br />masonry and chimney. <br />A fee of $100.00 will be charged for each missing fire screen upon move -out. <br />Management retains the right to deny fireplace privileges to any person who is unable to follow the fireplace <br />guidelines.
