EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />A.Project Description: <br />The goal of this project is to facilitate and provide materials for two public art painting <br />projects to be sited in the Everett Station District, in Everett, Washington. <br />B.Requirements: <br />1.The Artist agrees that an essential element of this agreement is the skill and creativity of <br />the Artist. The Artist, therefore, shall not assign the creative or artistic portions of the <br />Work to another party without the consent of the City. <br />2.In the event that the Artist must make changes to the design during construction, the Artist <br />shall present any changes in the scope, design, character, medium, structure or installation <br />of the project to the City for approval. <br />3.The Artist will provide information to the City regarding materials and finishes to be used <br />in the creation of the Work. Substitutions may be requested by the City in the event that <br />the proposed materials do not comply with health and safety issues. <br />4.The Artist shall acknowledge the City’s role in funding the Work in all public <br />presentations and written, printed or electronic publication of information regarding the <br />Work. <br />5.Facilitate and contribute to discussion with Everett Station District (ESD) Community <br />Advisory Group (CAG) to determine artwork theme and aesthetic <br />6.Issue a call to artists for sub-contracted artist(s) to assist with the project <br />7.Consolidate and present artist responses to call to artists to CAG <br />8.Work with subcontracted artist(s) to develop and finalize design based on feedback from <br />the City and CAG <br />9.Oversee artist communication, project management, production, and installation of the <br />mural <br />10.Handle call for volunteers and oversee community participation activities <br />11.Be present on site for painting and ensure safe working environment <br />12.Provide materials and support to artist as needed for executing painting <br />C.Consultation: <br />The Artist will consult as necessary with the City’s Project Manager (or design staff and/or <br />sub-consultants) in order to complete the Scope of Work specified in this Agreement. <br />D.Art Work Description: <br />Painted mural(s) in the Everett Station District, styles, locations and forms to be determined <br />following community advisory input and subcontracted artist(s) proposals <br />E.Technical Specifications: <br />Materials to be approved by City of Everett prior to application <br />F.Other Terms: <br />Location selection and property owner communication to be handled by City and ESDA
