challenges of using alternative fuels such as electricity and hydrogen fuel cells for day-to-day fleet operations and transit
agency vehicles. Parameters such as lifecycle costs of fleets, vehicle purchase costs, maintenance costs, fuel costs, drive
ranges, emissions and noise levels will be compared across the various alternative fuels.
Detailed Future Fleet Scenarios
The findings of the route modeling and battery sizing analysis will be integrated with an assessment of the related impacts
and broader benefits of transitioning to ZEVs in Everett. Our team will evaluate scenarios to compare emissions reductions;
community health and equity benefits; infrastructure requirements; and direct and indirect costs associated with various
scenarios. We can incorporate analysis of life cycle emissions, including emissions associated with energy production and
changes over time associated with the greening of the grid. Additional factors to be considered include funding availability,
skill development requirements, changes in maintenance equipment or schedules, and social and environmental benefits
and burdens.
Long-Term Fleet Management Plan
The Long-Term Fleet Management Plan will incorporate the fleet inventory, modeling, and analysis with an evaluation of
ZEV technologies available to develop a feasible and cost-effective long-term strategy for Everett Transit's fleet.
19
19
