ram- <br /> sfr <br /> • <br /> a <br /> ORDINANCE No. <br /> 2915 . <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2 901 entitled as <br /> follows: <br /> "An Ordinance providing for an emergency expenditure <br /> for the purpose of establishing, improving and maintain- <br /> ing playgrounds and ball parks; installing lights and <br /> constructing grandstand in civic baseball park located <br /> at 17th Street and East Grand Avenue in Everett ; pledging <br /> the City of Everett to levy in the year 1941 a tax <br /> of one mill on the taxable property in the ?ity of <br /> Everett for the purpose of paying for said expenditure; <br /> creating a special fund to which the proceeds of said <br /> one mill levy should be paid; providing that said <br /> expenditure shall be made by the Park Board of Everett; <br /> providing that said expenditure shall be paid by <br /> emergency warrants drawn on said special fund, and <br /> declaring an emergency, " <br /> by adding; thereto a section to be known as Section 1A, and <br /> declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, it is estimated that said one mill levy <br /> referred to in said Ordinance No. 2901 will produce revenue <br /> of more than Two Hundred .Fifty Dollars ($250 .00 ) in excess <br /> of $12 ,608.81 appropriated in the above entitled ordinance ; and <br /> WHEREAS, an additional sum of Two Hundred Fifty <br /> Dollars ($250.00 ) is required to finish the improvement of <br /> the baseball park located at 17th Street and East Grand Avenue <br /> in the City of Everett. <br /> NOY, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That said ordinance No. 2901, entitled <br /> as above set forth, be, and the same is hereby amended by add- <br /> ing thereto a section to be known as Section 1A, which section <br /> shall read as follows: <br /> Section 1A: hat there is hereby appropriated in <br /> addition to the sums appropriated in said original Ordinance <br /> No. 2901 the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ( 250 .00) , for <br /> the purpose of the completion of the improvement of the base- <br /> ball park located at 17th Street and East Grand Avenue in <br /> Everett as provided in said Ordinance. <br /> Section 2 : An emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and pub- <br /> lication. <br /> 'May <br /> Attest: or <br /> • City Clerk <br /> Passed: May 1 1941. <br /> Published: May 14, 1941. <br />
