April 5, 2023 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., April 5, 2023, <br />President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> <br />President Stonecipher stated that Council is working with Snohomish County to bring forward a <br />briefing regarding the County’s proposed purchase of Hope Covenant Church. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, Vogeli, Zarlingo, Tuohy, <br />and Stonecipher were present. Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Schwab led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Vogeli acknowledged the original inhabitants of <br />this place, the sduhubš people, and their successors, the Tulalip Tribes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the March 29, 2023, City Council meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received 10 written comments and there were two (2) members of the public who wished <br />to speak: <br /> <br />• Mary Rollins – Council Bill 2303-18 <br />• Paula Townsell – Council Bill 2303-18 <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Council comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy suggested pulling Council Bill 2303-18 and referring it to the Safe <br />Community Committee. Council Member Schwab concurred with the suggestion. <br /> <br />President Stonecipher provided an update on revising Council procedures. <br />
