Project Location <br /> 1802 75th Street SW <br /> Everett,WA 98203 <br /> Project Description/Scope <br /> The Snohomish PUD Pump&Clean building is a 84'-0"x 38'-6"open structure framed with TJL truss <br /> joists,glulam beams, and concrete columns. A portion of the roof structure was recently damaged <br /> and removed. This scope of work includes the design for the replacement of the portion of the roof <br /> that was removed. The roof area that was removed is approximately 14'-0"x 38'-6"and will be <br /> replaced with new pre-engineered trusses @ 2'-0"OC and new sheathing. The new trusses and <br /> sheathing will attach to the existing undamaged roof support system. <br /> Scope of Work <br /> Provide structural calculations and drawings in accordance with the current building code. <br /> • <br /> Basis of Design <br /> Roof Loads Dead 13.5 psf <br /> Snow 25 psf <br /> Seismic Parameters <br /> V=Wp*[Sds/(R/le)]=Cs*Wp <br /> Sds=.962 (per USGS seismic response map) <br /> R=1.5 (intermediate moment frames) <br /> le=1.0 (non-essential facility) <br /> Wp=Seismic Dead Weight of Structure <br /> *note:Seismic loads govern over wind <br /> Summary of Structural Components <br /> The roof weight and wind area will be essentially the same as the original building configuration,and <br /> therefore the existing gravity and lateral loading of the structure will remain nearly the same. The <br /> damage to the structure was not caused by a wind or seismic event nor did it affect any vertical <br /> gravity or vertical lateral resisting elements.
